Here at La Colaborativa, we are all about lifting people up. Being in poverty does not mean you have to lose your dignity. At La Colaborativa, we have partnered with Dignity Matters to provide our community with feminine products. At our food distribution on January 13th, we were able to speak with some members of our community and learn about how much this initiative means to them.

Dignity matters!
“I am extremely thankful for everyone that contributes the products. I am thankful for La Colaborativa as well because without these products I would be in extremely hard times and it has helped me immensely,” said community member Marleny.
“I do not need the products but my daughters do and it takes some burden off my daughters that I am able to get them here. I am also thankful for the food distribution especially since it’s more oriented for the Latino community,” said community member Rose.

Dignity Matters makes a big difference in our community and we are happy to be able to work with them to bring feminine products to those who need them. For those in our community who need feminine products, we will be offering them at our distributions on Wednesdays from 3-7 PM and Fridays from 9:30-11:30 AM at 63 6th Street in Chelsea.
