Nohemi Alejandra Rodriguez
Alejandra Rodriguez is a dedicated Community Health Organizer at La Colaborativa in Chelsea, MA, where she has been instrumental since April 2021. She manages the daily operations of the Day Center, providing shelter and various programs for 150 unhoused migrants. Alejandra designs and implements community organizing programs for Metro North Boston, focusing on voter registration, public health initiatives, and housing rights. She coordinates community events and outreach through social media platforms, reaching over 30,000 viewers monthly. Notably, she established the first COVID-19 vaccination clinics in Chelsea, vaccinating 1,200 people in the first year. Before joining La Colaborativa, Alejandra was a Private Therapist at Rodriguez Counseling in Mexico, where she provided individual therapy sessions using culturally-informed practices. She created a supportive environment for clients to discuss and process their experiences. As the Program Director at the Latin American Thanatology Institute, Alejandra coordinated educational curricula for 150 students and supervised a team of facilitators, promoting staff development and continuous growth.
