Programs

FOOD

La Colaborativa distributes food to 7,000+ families each week from Chelsea and surrounding areas. Our doors are open to all as food distributions take place four days/week from our location on Sixth Street.

JOBS

La Colaborativa provides the full range of supports needed to get our community working and on their way to financial independence. We offer holistic workforce development pathways for youth and adults, ages 14 – 60.

HOUSING

La Colaborativa works closely with residents to address housing instability through advocacy and direct services for members facing eviction, homelessness, or violations of their rights as tenants.

HEALTH

La Colaborativa seeks to transform Chelsea from the epicenter of the COVID-19 pandemic to a model of health equity through effective community participation and response.

YOUTH

La Colaborativa is a hub for youth opportunities and positive development in the region. Youth are included in all of our organizational work.

IMMIGRATION & CITIZENSHIP SERVICES

La Colaborativa supports immigrants on their pathways to citizenship through a continuum of services including citizenship classes, application support, and access to free legal aid.

ENGLISH

La Colaborativa currently offers free, virtual English classes at the Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced Levels in three sessions/year. Our classes are culturally relevant and focus on English language skills for the workplace and economic advancement.

CONSUMER PROTECTION

To support immigrants on their pathways to citizenship, La Colaborativa offers citizenship classes, consultations, support with paperwork, and referrals to legal aid. US citizenship opens many doors to our members, as workers, voters, and community advocates.

ORGANIZING

Organizing empowers our community members to understand their rights and take a stand to fight for what will benefit them and the community. We work directly with our community to organize and create coalitions that target their needs.
