Angie Nataly Coronado, MD, MPH

Director of Health Equity

Angie Nataly Coronado joined La Colaborativa’s Health Equity Team in May 2023 and currently serves as Director of Health Equity. She brings extensive experience in public health, community engagement, and health equity work, all grounded in a deep commitment to community-rooted solutions.

Angie’s professional background spans roles as a health promoter, research assistant, community support worker, and MD-trained public health professional. Her work is guided by a core belief that lasting health equity is achieved by centering the voices, strengths, and leadership of immigrant communities.

She earned her A.B. in Community Health from Brown University, her M.D. from Universidad Autónoma de Guadalajara School of Medicine in Jalisco, Mexico, and most recently completed a Master of Public Health in Health and Social Behavior at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, with a concentration in Maternal and Child Health.

Angie is deeply committed to advancing the health and well-being of women and children, with a particular focus on addressing racial and ethnic disparities in health outcomes. Her work examines the root causes of inequities, including structural barriers and implicit bias within healthcare systems, and seeks systemic solutions that promote dignity, access, and accountability.

At La Colaborativa, Angie works closely with community leaders, healthcare providers, and policymakers to advance initiatives that prevent disease, promote wellness, and strengthen community power in Chelsea. She has led efforts to build community-based research capacity and facilitated workshops that equip residents with the tools to advocate for meaningful and lasting change.
