Freddy Mata-Bueso
Freddy Mata-Bueso is an experienced leader in strategic development and team management, and brings his skill to the Youth Development team at La Colaborativa. At Cristo Rey Boston High School, Freddy led initiatives to enhance student mental health and professional growth, managing a diverse caseload with multilingual support. Freddy’s expertise in grant writing has successfully secured funding for various student programs, a skill that will be invaluable in supporting La Colaborativa’s initiatives. With a background as a Passport Program Coach at Boston Higher Education Resource Center, Freddy guided students through the college application process and provided financial literacy workshops, demonstrating his commitment to educational development. Additionally, Freddy served as a College Advisor at Wheelock College, supporting first-generation students and offering translation services to Spanish-speaking families. Freddy holds a B.A. in Political Science from Boston University and a Graduate CORe Certificate from Harvard Business School. Fluent in Spanish, Freddy excels in communication, problem-solving, and public speaking, further enhancing his capability to support the youth at La Colaborativa.
