Kenia Avalos

Kenia Avalos, the daughter of immigrants from El Salvador, brings lived experience and deep community knowledge to her role at La Colaborativa. A longtime resident of Chelsea for more than 20 years, she understands firsthand the systemic barriers faced by immigrant and low-income families.

As a Case Manager, Kenia supports individuals and families in navigating complex social service systems and accessing critical resources that promote housing stability and overall well-being. Prior to this role, she served as an Intake Specialist, where she managed client data and supported frontline teams through La Colaborativa’s internal systems. This experience exposed her to the urgent challenges faced by individuals experiencing homelessness and solidified her commitment to working directly with families to create meaningful, lasting change.
