Last night, La Colaborativa was honored by the Boston Bar at its annual Beacon Awards as the recipient of the Empowerment Award!
La Colaborativa was selected due to the tireless work of our employees and volunteers who took swift action in responding to the COVID-19 pandemic and ensured our community would have a lifeline through such difficult times.
“I’ve been incarcerated for good reason several times, so I’ve needed the services of good lawyers like you,” said Gladys Vega, as she accepted the award with Dini Paulino. “I’ll always need good lawyers to help us, because we’re trouble-makers…The pro-bono work you did in our community saved lives.”
It is an honor to be recognized by the Boston Bar and to serve our community – no matter what comes next, we’ll be there every step of the way.
